Remember how you saved up to buy that LP, or played it so much that your flat mates had to go down the pub? Where are they now (the LPS not the flat mates)? In the attic at your parents' house? Or in an old box feeling very unloved?
Wherever they are you should get them out and slide them lovingly into our beautifully made and 100% recycled LP table. Designed by an F1 designer with machined brass supports - made in the UK by an from an F1 supplier - the table is made from three layers of 10mm acrylic. Two layers of black acrylic have been routed to create 30 grooves that exactly fit your individual LPs. If you have a double album you can slide it neatly between the top two layers to display it for all the world to see. So get out those LPs, invite your old flat mates round and celebrate Christmas playing some of those old tunes that sound so much better in their original vinyl.

The decline of the ebook and the resurgence of the real book has meant that bookcases are flying off the shelves. According to a recent article in The Times sales of bookcases and ways to show off your personal library have increased on the back of growing book sales. John Lewis, IKEA and Heals have all reported double digit growth in the sale of furniture that helps display fave reads and impart the general feeling of well-being that comes with a nicely curated book collection in your home. And once you've bought your Billy (Ikea's bestselling bookcase) or your LivreLit (in our case) it's time to snap it and post your collection on instagram with the hashtag #shelfie (758,000 posts) and #bookstagram (12 million posts). Time to get stacking and posting!
We really like well designed and comfortable furniture, particularly chairs. All LivreLit booktables are made of acrylic, or Perspex, to use a well known brand name. Acrylic is 30% clearer than glass so, as soon as you fill your LivreLit with books, the booktable itself becomes transparent and all you see are the covers and spines of your favourite reads. It really doesn't matter if your room is a dark, wood panelled library or a bright, modern kitchen as the LivreLit works well in both. After all, it's the look of the books you display as much as the accompanying furniture that sets the tone.
Few people would argue that books help make a room look good. So why do we insist on hiding a book's best artwork by displaying its spine, rather than the cover? The same goes for LPs. How many iconic album covers are there but, unless you're in a shop buying one (where they know what looks best) you barely see the band or title? Which is where we come in with our totally transparent LivreLit booktable and LP tables. So next time you pull out a book or a record and think lovingly about its cover, bring it out and rearrange your shelf so it faces outwards. It's what interior designers do all the time. Check out any of those interiors magazines and you'll see rooms with quirkily arranged bookshelves where it's not juts the spines that are on show. Better still, buy a LivreLit, show them all off and use it as a gorgeous coffee table!
